Are you covered by insurance? 

Insurance companies are asking clients more and more lately, if they have a valid EICR. This is good to see as it means that the dwellings where people are working and shopping are going to be a safe place to be. It is also good news for the client if they have valuable stock, that may not be covered, in the case of an electrical fire. 

An EICR is much like an MOT in the sense that it forms a report on whole the fixed wiring installation stands, at that moment in time.
